Dr. Jacopo Annese, the CEO and Founder of The Brain Observatory, sits down with Charles Parisi and Kyra Schwartz, guest hosting for Drew Schlosberg, to discuss the incredible human brain and the program he has built for students in San Diego to provide fun, engaging, and informative immersive experiences to learn about their brains.  

Charles Parisi, Brandon Joe, and Kyra Schwartz, guest hosting for Drew Schlosberg, are joined in studio by the legendary Billy Moore, the President & CEO of ABC Youth Foundation, and his colleague, LeMar Slater.  Listeners are treated to the amazing words of Billy as he describes the vision of his Dad, the iconic heavyweight boxing champion, Archie Moore, when he started the program.  We also hear the raw emotion of Billiy as he describes the presence of his Dad each time he walks in the gym.  LeMar, a leader and a former youth in the program, discusses its importance to the community, and the lessons learned along the way.  

Charles Parisi and Brandon Joe, guest hosting for Drew Schlosberg, sit down with Katia Pessoa, the CEO and Founder of Pilates Room Studios, and Susan Farese, the CEO of SJF Communications, to discuss the history of pilates in San Diego, entrepreneurship and the challenges of starting a business, as well as some specials for listeners to help celebrate Katia’s 20th Anniversary!  

We also receive an update on the many happenings and new initiatives from Susan Farese, always a community champion!  

Charles Parisi and Kyra Schwartz, guest hosts for Drew Schlosberg, sit down with Marianella Camarillo, the Executive Director of Miracle Babies, and Vanessa Osegueda, a Mom who gave birth to premature triplets. Vanessa Osegueda, shares her story of the love, support, and kindness she received from Miracle Babies while her babies remained in the NICU for 52 days.  Also discussed was the new focus on maternal mental health, something listeners will feel deeply as they listen to Vanessa. 

Jeremy Pearl, the new CEO of the Jewish Community Foundation comes into the MIssion Fed Studio to have a discussion with Charles Parisi, guest hosting for Drew Schlosberg, abojut the wide ranging services of the organization while also providing reflections on his new role as CEO.  

Aaron Bullard, Director of Community Partnerships for Villa Musica, is joined by Nicole Olsson, Community Program and Camp Coordinator, to talk about the organization’s year-round and summer programs, as well as its Link Up program.
